Emergency Services

This resource shows how the emergency services work together to rescue a woman and her son from a house fire. A man comes across a house fire and sees a woman and her son in the upstairs window. He dials 999 and tells the operator about the emergency. This section highlights the kind of information an operator would need from the caller. Help is dispatched in the form of a fire engine, the police and an ambulance. The woman and child are rescued. Conversations between the characters use speech bubbles.
